Fishing was hot for the opener. My party of three caught the limit with the average Walleye 23 inches. Spinners and crawler did the job with some bigger ones caught on Shad Raps and lead core trolling. 1.5 to 1.8 mph on the edges of the channel between 3 and 9 feet of water. Jig and a minnow also was putting fish in the boat with these fish coming a bit deeper 8 to 15 feet on the channel edges. Sunday seemed the slower of the two days. The temp. was a bit cool @ 59 to 60 degrees as this warms the fishing will start to heat up.
