It's Fall Trout and Salmon time!! My partner and I got a late start today and launched out of Knife River Public Access on the North Shore of good old "Gitchi Gummi" Lake Superior... We hit nice Lake Trout right away between 100 feet and 200 feet of water. Interestingly enough we didn't even have to use downriggers just Dipsey Divers "1". The Dipsey was 300 Ft. down on an angel to the sides of the boat. They had 20 pound Gamma leaders off of them about ten foot of leader. We used "Jim's Flashback Spoon in purple and black with yellow spots, the little version. (again bought at Marine General in Duluth). We hit Koho Salmon up higher on the surface about 30 feet under the surface on TD11 clown (Bought at Marine General in Duluth)We trolled at about 2.6 mph. Don't forget to call Marine General at 218-724-8833 and ask for Dereck or Corey and they will tell you the depths and the type of lures that are hot that day.
